Research Interests
Cultural landscapes, Human-environment Relationships, Cultural-historical Geography

I am a cultural and environmental geographer with abundant interests, primarily focused on understanding the complex relationships humans have with both the environment and with each other. I study cultural landscapes, with an eye to understanding change, variation, perception, and the larger forces operating behind these. Most of my interests hover around the intersections of culture, landscape, and environment, with particular emphases on cultural biogeography and ethnicity. Regionally, I focus on Latin America and the U.S. South.
